Since this month is Throwbacks at City church I figured why not share a throwback poem of mine! This one is called "Destined for Greatness." I wrote it after graduating from high school and before coming to IU for groups. It was a way for me to let go of my past and get ready for my future not only academically but also spiritually in my walk with Christ. So here it is!!! Enjoy!

Lookin' at this starry sky, Got me thinkin' bout how days go by
How Time flies Everything changes In the blink of an eye
Whether emotions, people, Or just life in general
For me its all been for the better, The whole thing, not just one mineral
These blazin' stars remind me, Of every precious memory
Embarrassing or hilarious,I see them bright and shimmery
Each passing cloud, Stands for every significant one
Who has left a print on my life, Here today or forever gone
The dark and mysterious heavens, They represent my future
What God has in store for me, I am ready for it THAT'S FOR SURE

It's already begun
Nothing
will get in my way,
Cuz I can shine
by myself
